Keeping an eye on the world

Keeping an eye on the world 7.1.13

This is one of my beloved rescued greyhounds. She often tries to sleep and keep an eye open at the same time, just in case she misses something. She certainly does know how to relax though and she has been my lifecoach ever since she came into my life. She is looking a little white around the muzzle now but she’s still gorgeous. She has always enjoyed life to the max. When there’s food she eats, when there’s a soft bed she sleeps and when there’s fun to be had, she has it. Stress and anxiety simply do not exist in her world. In case you think that is true for all dogs my experience is that sadly it is not, especially for greyhounds which can be very nervous. This is understandable I guess, given the life some of them experience. If ever you are considering getting a dog, please consider a rescued greyhound. They are gentle, loving and devoted to people.

Many years ago I worked on a Greyhound ‘farm’, caring for 250 of them. It’s not a great life for them. And they ARE the sweetest, kindest, and most loving dogs I know. Glad she found you. 🙂

Thanks Victoria. You’re very kind. Absolutely right about greyhounds. They are the most gentle and loving of creatures.
