Life on the canal

Living on the canal

This rather tranquil scene is of a line of canal barges on the Stratford-upon Avon canal.  They are residential boats and in a very peaceful spot.  Not sure I would want to endure the lack of space on board but it’s not a bad spot to unwind.  This mooring has increased in number considerably since I’ve lived here.  I suspect it’s a sign of the times with traditional housing becoming prohibitively expensive.  I also liked the chap cycling home on the opposite bank. I waited for him to come into view as he sort of draws the eye into the picture.
