Song Thrush

Song Thrush on the birdtable a

This is perhaps one for the Brit. ex pats out there to remind them of home.  A song thrush visiting a bird-table in winter, (I know it’s officially spring but it still feels like winter here).  A beautiful bird and they have just started to call, even though it is absolutely freezing.    To sit in the garden on a summer evening and listen to a thrush singing is as close to heaven as I can imagine.   Hopefully this one will nest nearby.

They are. Of all the birds I think the Thrush family have the most beautiful songs.

The most depressing thing is it looks like winter here too. I can’t see my bird feeder for powder snow and drifts.

Great catch with your picture. 🙂
I haven’t seen a bird table used for its propper purpose in ages … my rabbit sits in mine. 😀
