Chasing sunbeams

Chasing sunbeams a

Now that the sun has finally arrived in the UK my eldest greyhound can indulge her passion for chasing the sunbeams around the house.  Wherever they fall she will settle to sleep (as pictured), and when the sun moves, so does she.  Quite an art that she has taught to the younger one too.  This leads to a competition when there isn’t enough sunbeam for two large dogs.  In such circumstances, the boss, (i.e. the one pictured) wins.  Though I have seen both of them squashed into a corner or up against the furniture, trying to squeeze the most out of the slimmest ray of sunshine.

I was lucky to visit a greyhound museum in Kansas about 10 years ago. There were 2 live dogs when we walked in that we thought were statues but they were just sleeping. Gentle giants they were.
