Apple blossom time

apple blossom r

The apple blossom in the garden is absolutely magnificent, as you can see from the photo.  I don’t know if this is related to the long, cold winter but it is spectacular.   The swifts arrived today too; one of the last spring migrants to make the long journey to the UK from Africa.  Swifts feed in large numbers over the lakes and make those of a nervous disposition duck as they fly past at speed.  A great scene on a summer evening.  I may try to capture a shot of them but if I do manage it, it will be luck more than judgement if they are in focus.
