Shetland Pony in a paddy field

Shetland pony in a paddy field

Well it’s not quite a paddy field but not far off.  We’ve had some heavy rain the last few days and this poor Shetland’s field looks pretty wet.  He doesn’t seem to mind too much though and the grass is at least fresh (and moist).

It was okay as it was in a very large field and it had chosen to walk down to this part, which was at the bottom of a slope; the rest of the field was fine. I expect it just wandered down for a drink and a wallow.

As they do – thanks 🙂

That seems like a rather long horse . . .

It must be the angle the photo was taken from. It’s actually a fairly stocky Shetland but it is stretching.

Hmmm . . . anything at an angle would make it look short, not longer.

Perhaps it is the stretching, although the spine would not stretch. OR . . . perhaps I am used to even shorter horses, and while that horse might be considered stocky over there, here it would be the equivalent of a stretched limo.
