Big bold Sunflower

Sunflower

A beautiful and more unusual variety of sunflower. I love these big, in your face flowers. They shout I’m gorgeous and I know it. There’s nothing subtle about them at all. Big and brash is good sometimes. And the insects love ’em too. This is growing on the allotment along with lots of other things. There are some other lovely sunflowers there too which I would like to share sometime.

I have never seen a sunflower that colour, I love to live vicariously through your pictures. Do they give off any fragrance?

Thank you so much. Pleased you enjoy the posts. Unfortunately the sunflowers don’t have much of a scent but they do make up for that by being so beautiful. There are some lovely more traditional bright yellow ones I will put up as well.

This looks like a smaller variety of sunflower; is it? Lovely colours, a bit like sunrise or sunset colours.
