Canal view

Canal bridge

One of my favourite places to walk is along a canal towpath. This view is on the Stratford upon Avon Canal which runs through my village. Canals have changed little since they were the Victorian highway for goods and it’s still easy to imagine the working barges making their way slowly through the water. Little has changed except perhaps now they are quieter.

    Hello,
I just enjoy looking at your site; the pictures you have put up are quite impressive and I just love the detail you have put in. I have to say that your pictures are simply wonderful. Maybe you can look at my website: http://www.dazzamblog.com to see more information about UK wildlife and other science topics.

I’ve never seen a canal looking so clean, the local ratz must love it.

The canals around here are very well maintained and lovely places to walk. I thought most were now. Even in the centre of Birmingham they are a pleasant escape from the busy city.

thanks for liking my post. I love the idea of taking a photo every day, it must really encourage you to look for the tiny moments of beauty and magic.

You’re welcome. Yes, it does focus the mind on looking for the magic in the everyday, which was the plan when I started. It is difficult to produce something every day but I hope to keep going.
