The green, green grass of home

Field view

This is the sort of view that would make me homesick if I moved away. It’s not spectacular, it’s not particularly scenic; it’s just what I see every day. It’s as peaceful as it looks.  I disturbed a deer just before taking this shot, which is why I stopped to take the photo in the first place  but my stalking skills are not as good as I hoped,

Thank you. I think Britain, Ireland and NZ must be the greenest places on the planet.

I’m rarely happier than when bloggers celebrate their home surrounds. Love this. I can easily see why you’d miss the green, green grass of your home.

Yes, the UK is about as green as you can get. When I fly home I am always amazed at how many variations of green there are.

Thank you. I walk by there almost everyday and it’s easy to take it for granted but it is lovely.

Wish you never move away from such a scenic neighborhood. It really hurts …

I agree. I did think about it a few years ago but couldn’t find anywhere I liked as much.

I get lots of pictures just after the ….. has flown/run off too. Sometimes they look better for not being cluttered up with a something.

Yes, maybe. I was frustrated to miss it though. There’ll be a next time now I know they use that field and I’ll try to be quieter.

and downwind too maybe? It’s really irritating isn’t it? I’m not a fisherman but I too, know all about the one that got away!

Thank you. I hope that one day you can fulfill your dream of visiting the UK. It is lovely but so is NZ of course. It’s on my list of places to see too.
