Sitting duck(s)

Waiting to be fed

These are just some of the hungry mouths who wait at the lake every day to mug anyone with a slice of bread or a bag of corn. That is usually me. They even follow me as I walk with the dogs (though not too close). There’s something about ducks that’s hard to resist. So comical and endearing.

They are, especially when they follow me round.

Our chief public health officer has been telling the city that our rivers won’t be clean and unpolluted until we do something about the large number of ducks fouling the water. Poor Ducks!

That sounds crazy. Can you imagine a river without ducks? More sterile environment for people to look at with no life in them. I’m sure some local authority decision makers would like the world to be one large wipe-clean surface. It would make everything so much easier.

A river without ducks would be dull.

Absolutely. It seems a bizarre idea.

Them ducks look more like expectant vultures. What’s not to like about a duck? (Other than the guilt trip they trigger when you’re eating your chips and they aren’t …) (on a good day we cut it even, and I count myself lucky).

Too cute. Thanks for your visits and the “likes”.

I like that you feed them and they follow you and the dogs. We need a photo of that. 🙂
