Slippery when wet

wet road

As you can see, we’ve had a bit of rain lately.  Lots more to come over the the next few days. One thing we do well in the UK is rain, especially around this time of year.

I don’t mind a bit of rain if I’m in. It’s the worst on your bike though cycling in it after a long day at work. Been there done that, got the tee-shirt.

Yes, I don’t’t mind rain when I’m in the dry. Especially listening to it on the windows when I’m tucked up in a warm bed.

I can hear the rain on my window, bringing back sweet memories, as the song goes.

Well at least you don’t have to shovel rain . . . but be careful on the roads, I’ve come to depend on your posts with my morning coffee!

That’s very kind of you. It’s lovely to think I am bringing a little bit of pleasure to someone somewhere else in the world.

You do bring pleasure to people, and I count among them. I love the picture and also the caption: irony is my favourite mode.

Thank you very much. I really do appreciate the kindness and interest people express. I hope I can keep it up.

I don’t mind being outside in the rain if I am snuggled in my waterproofs (apart from the small damp patch that appears on my let knee in very heavy rain).

But the best thing is when you have got soaking wet, and you rush indoors, get changed into some warm dry clothes, and snuggle on the sofa with a cup of tea =]

Sounds good. My favourite is a bowl of piping hot tomato soup. Perfect when it’s cold and wet outside.
