My wife has long wanted to live on an island.
But, as we’ve seen, it comes at a high price.

Actually, the weather is really okay. The Brits love talking about the weather because it is so variable. I would actually miss the changing seasons and even the storms. Each season brings something to wonder in and just experience; it really does. I studied navigation and seamanship as a young man and that enables me to appreciate what we get and why we get it. We are a small island on the edge of Europe stuck out in the North Atlantic; why some Brits expect us to enjoy a Mediterranean climate puzzles me. I say get a big coat and hat and enjoy the wind and rain. Who needs sunshine all the time. (Sometimes would be a nice change though).

Wow, you can almost taste the sea air.

I love the taste of sea air; the salt on the lips and the sound of the wind. Bliss.

A great setting for a mystery novel. The gray tones are outstanding.

Thanks. Probably would make a good Agatha Christie setting. Actually, the photo was taken not that far away from where Agatha Christie was born and raised.

The church is in a nice spot. I would love to live on the top of that rock.

Thank you. It is a great place whatever the weather is doing. It does stick out into the Atlantic though and the next landfall is the USA so it does get a bit windy, and sometimes wet.
