In between storms

field and trees

This peaceful scene shows an interlude between two very bad storms. The first caused a lot of damage and the second, expected tonight will cause a lot more.  Difficult to imagine looking at this picture of calm, though the wind is starting to rattle the house as I type.

Thank you. That’s very kind. This morning it doesn’t look too bad around here. A little damage after a wild night but the house is all in one piece and the roof is all there.

Thank you. I am relieved. There was a danger of flood which thankfully has now passed. Unfortunately some were not so lucky.

It’s a beautiful between-storms image. The feeling here is that a storm is coming. I like this a lot. Happy New Year to you guys! 🙂

I heard about your crazy gale force winds via twitter! Hope your house and property came through unscathed!
I love the light in this photo…even if you hadn’t mentioned taking the shot between storms, the light would have given it away. Seriously excellent photo!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!

Thank you for liking “Reflections.” I like the contrast between the bright sunlit pasture and the dark shadows in the foreground. The golden leaves of the trees also stand out beautifully against the gray clouds. Nice work! 🙂
