About
At the beginning of 2013 I began this blog with the objective of recording every day with a photograph for 365 days. In the course of achieving that objective on December 31st 2013, I met lots of lovely people, who were kind enough to spend some time looking at my blog and commenting, and some enjoyed it that much they even decided to ‘follow’ to see what I’d get up to next. The pleasure was mutual, and so I continue to enjoy capturing and sharing some of my photographs and experiences, and enjoying those of others around the world. I always wanted to share with others how wonderful and extraordinary the ‘ordinary’ really is, and that remains one of my main reasons for doing what I do.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you find something you enjoy.
Nice site. 😀 Thanks for sharing your photos—moments— from that side of the world. Beautiful!
Hi. Thanks for dropping by my blog. You’re very kind. It’s great to be able to share thoughts, opinions and photographs with others around the world.
Couldn’t agree more 😉
thanks for dropping by and liking my post YESTERDAY .. enjoyed your dog post.. mine is also into yoga-meditation-unconsciousness, occasional snoring sessions thrown in – as now 🙂 have a fab weekend !
Thanks, and you too.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and liking my photos! I appreciate it very much. I look forward to following your blog. 🙂
Thank you and you’re welcome.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and liking. Will love seeing photos of Britain and the day to day there. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you to you too. Can’t promise they’ll all be interesting to everyone who views but I want to capture some of the day to day things I see, which can often get overlooked but are none the less worth recording.
Your blog sounds a lot like mine, although I’m using photos from the stock I’ve been taking for years. I love England, so I look forward to seeing your photos!
Thank you. It is trying to recognise the wonderful in the everyday things we often take for granted. Through the blog, people from all over the world have helped me to see things afresh and celebrate the ordinary as being really quite extraordinary, if only we look hard enough.
Thanks for liking one of my posts today. I’ve followed you to see how you get on with your plan to post a photo every day. That’s something I’ve considered but not yet taken the plunge. Good luck
So far so good. It is a challenge though. I decided to do it to motivate myself to take more photographs, which I love doing. I have a range of kit but am never without a really good compact. For the purpose of the blog, that is fine. I use the DSLR for the blog less often because usually that has to be planned, as it involves carrying a bag of kit around and that’s not always possible. I am making no promises about the artistic merits of the photos, just capturing what’s around. If I was using it to sell or promote my work I would have a different approach. I am doing it primarily for me because I would like to have a record of the everyday stuff, something like a photo diary for a whole year. But it does seem to interest other people and that gives me a little more self discipline to keep it up. I have already found it a great record and I’m only into February. We shall see if I can keep it up. I can only give it my best.
Good luck with that. Like you I always have a compact with me – in my case a Canon S95
A charming place.
It is charming in a very ordinary, unassuming way. It just sort of gets on with things. Nothing exciting but a nice place to just be.
What a great idea for a blog 🙂 Thank you for stopping by the Sunshine Scrapbook!
Thank you and you’re welcome.
I nominated you for the Versatile blog award. I really enjoy your photos- great blog. Just go to my post for directions!
Thank you for being so kind. I do appreciate it. Unfortunately, as you’ve probably gathered by now, I just don’t have the time to do all the things I have to do to in order accept the award. I struggle to stay on top of the blog. So, pleased as I am to be considered worthy, I will sadly have to pass it up. I hope you understand why. Thanks again though.
It is a nice blog you have here! I am following, since I hope to live on that Small Island of yours one day again. Meanwhile I better get used to what it looks like – every single day.
Thank you for dropping by and following. I’m pleased you liked the place enough to want to come back.
Thank you for visiting Clicks & Corks and liking one of my images 🙂
You have a very nice blog and project!
Take care
Thank you and you’re welcome.
Lovely idea!! Good luck with your project!!
Thank you.
Keep going… you:ll have fun and in the process you’ll keep us entertained…
Thank you for the encouragement. It’ll be an interesting record of daily life if I make it.
I have found the creativity comes in cycles… usually between 6 to 8 weeks then I get that empty feeling. At first I stressed… now I know it’s the natural time to take a break…
Glad you enjoyed one of my captures. Good luck with a shot a day, much more ambitious than myself.
Thank you. It is a challenge and deliberate in order to make me take more photos. The shots for the blog are just as they come and as I go about my routine but I may start another with some other work.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I really admire bloggers who can meet the challenge of a photo and narrative a day.
Thank you. I hope I can keep it up.
We are from small islands on opposite sides of the world, and seem to have similar interests. I will be following your blog
Great plan for the year! An ideal way to show off the UK, and develop your photographic skills! 🙂
Thanks and thanks for liking my posts. The challenge has been great for encouraging me to take more photos and I like to do that a lot. I just hope I can keep going.
Thanks for liking my post ! Wish you success for your objective of 2013! 🙂 Great going so far 😀
Thank you.
Absolutely fantastic blog, and I love your idea. Am looking forwards to following your blog. I am a wheelchair user and have a new found love of photography, so love learning and enjoying from others. My husband is taking me out today for some photography opportunities. They are going to be nowhere near as good as yours, but should you have the time, I would welcome any pointers on my blog. Thanks, Sarah
Than you very much for your kind words. Very generous of you and I’m delighted to think I might have been able to give you some ideas on photography. I am a photographer of many years and just love taking shots. In terms of pointers, as you asked, I would say always have a camera to hand. Although I have bags of kit I don’t always carry it everywhere I go but I do pretty much carry my compact. Many of the shots on the blog were taken with the compact. Having said that, if you can afford it, save up for a good DSLR if possible and experiment with shooting in RAW, (or birthday/Christmas present). There are some excellent models that are great value because they are last years ‘must have’; they are still excellent and will serve you well for years. In addition to encouraging you to take lots of photographs of everything, especially the ‘ordinary’, I would say crop to get the shot and get a good editing program. Sorry if I went on but you did ask and I get very enthusiastic when anyone shows an interest in taking photos. The very best of luck with it. I’m sure you’ll have a great time. I’m looking forward to seeing your work. I think you’re in the Isle of Man, so a fantastic place for photography.
Heavens no, thank you for taking the time out to reply to me, I really appreciate it. I am currently using a Fujifilm FinePix S4400 Bridge camera as being in a wheelchair I am a little wary of taking the leap to a full on DSLR at the moment. I have epilepsy too, which is not controlled at the moment so a decent lens ending up on the floor is NOT on my list of things to do currently! I am getting (well, well, in my opinion) some shots which are not too bad with the bridge camera and am using Aviary, Snapseed, Tilt-Shift, LensFlare and TitleFx (all either 69p or free apps from Apple) and getting some results that I am very happy with. My husband has a super duper all singing all dancing Cannon DSLR, if I get asked to hold it I hold it like a bomb about to go off, I am that terrified of dropping it (it doesn’t help that I have inherited a clumsy gene along the line).
I am finding myself drawn to Aviary time and time again for editing software, as it has exactly what I need on it – crop, brightness, saturation and sharpness. It does have some ‘effects’ which occasionally lend themselves to the subject.
If you have time (and can wade through the pictures of my new corn snake) I have put a few new pictures up. It was genuinely a comment another photographer made that gave me the gumption to post a few of my own up (about 2 weeks ago).
I am in the Isle of Man, and am going out today, so hopefully will be able to post some pictures later on.
Thank you for taking the time to reply, I really do appreciate it.
Looks like you are off to a flying start with today’s posts. I would just enjoy experimenting as you are. You clearly have ‘the eye’ for a good picture. I’m looking forward to seeing what you produce. I would definitely borrow your husband’s DSLR when you are ready and experiment with RAW as I think you will love the control and the ability to crop close. I wish you the very best of luck. You’re a natural.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I can crop using my own camera for now, but mainly on landscape and macro pictures. I am a bit wary of using my husband’s camera as it doesn’t have a strap as mine does and I am terrified of having a seizure when using it! I just post the world from my perspective (in a wheelchair) to hopefully show that it can be quite different. Maybe I should get a dedicated blog just for my photographs, and keep my usual one for my “waffling on”.
I’d agree with the two blogs idea. I think you have two different audiences for your photography and your writing. When one dries up you can always immerse yourself in the other.
You have definitely given me food for thought on that one, thank you very much. Although I don’t have many followers on my other blog, they have been with me since the beginning and I would love to show people the world from my perspective. My mind is made up, I shall send you the link once it is done. Is it bad form to post pictures that I have already posted on one blog on another if I am up front about it and why I have started a new one? I don’t think I have posted that many that it would be would it?
I think it would be okay as long as it wasn’t too many and the blog links for both can always be on your profile page. I think you would attract a bigger combined audience and they might be curious and cross from one to the other that way.
Well, I have done it! Any feedback always welcome as managing 2 blogs is going to be interesting. I have decided to be very upfront about what editing software I use, and post the RAW file followed by the edited one. Thank you for giving me the confidence to do so.
Good luck. I would monitor the RAW files as they can be huge and it will use up your valuable blog space.
Best of luck!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog…much appreciated!
Hi, thank you for your visits:) I love your blog name, it gives me a certain feeling of…wanderlust, I guess. Good luck with the project!
Thank you. I hope you come back to see how it’s going.
I grew up in rural England, but have lived in Johannesburg, South Africa for the last 20 years – a far cry from the village life I was used to!! Your photos remind me of what I miss most about England and what I look forward to recapturing every time I return on holiday. Just everyday things – the birds, the countryside, the pubs, the high street etc. – nothing out of the ordinary, but things I miss! I have really enjoyed browsing through your photos and look forward to my daily dose of “home”.
Thank you very much. That’s really kind of you. You’ve captured what I wanted to achieve with the blog really; just recording the ordinary, which actually isn’t that ordinary at all and is really rather wonderful. It’s just that none of us appreciate how wonderful it is. I would appreciate a little South African sunshine though and maybe photograph some of the landscape and wildlife. Maybe one day I will but I’ll have to put up with the snow for now.
An interesting concept for an ongoing photo project. I have seen various permutations of this one, the most interesting being taking a photograph of the same spot or scenic view from the same angle either (1) at various times of day and night, or (2) the same view of the subject every day at the same time. The idea is to pick a subject or scenic view that somehow changes markedly as the day progresses or as some predetermined period of time passes. For instance, photograph your favorite tide pool every day at the same time, or at both high and low tide the same day, or over a period of 52 weeks. Anyway, good luck with your photo project, and thanks for “liking” my blog post! 👍
Thank you and you’re welcome.
Thank you for the like it is most encouraging.
Terry
You’re very welcome.
Happy Easter! full of love happiness and money you want -your maxima
A very Happy Easter to you too. I wish you peace and happiness.
Thanks for drawing my attention to your blog. We do something similar, though I live in a big city (Chicago) and spend time in the surrounding country. It’s a premise that works–Celia
I like to capture the everyday things, and of course to someone else my ‘everyday’ is extraordinary. So photos of commuters in Chicago or a street in Cairo are fantastic to me. I guess that’s the wonder of the Web. Good luck with the blog, it looks great.
Bautiful photography! I look forward to see more from your work in the future! I’m your new follower. 🙂
Greetings from North Norfolk
Dina
Thank you very much. That’s kind of you. You are also in one of my favourite spots in the UK. As a birder that’s probably no surprise. I wish I was out on Blakeny Point right now with the sun shining.
I do hope the sun will come soon! :-). I’m in Bonn right now, but in 2 weeks I intend to go to the Point, walk the salt marshes of Stiffkey again. North Norfolk is outstanding, so beautiful, quiet and down to earth, a lovely place on the edge.
It is very special. I haven’t been for ages but hope to get there one day soon.
Hey, I nominated you for a Liebster Award (even though you have more than 200 followers)! Please visit my blog at animalsdeservetolive.com to read about it under the post titled Wow!.
Thank you. That’s very kind.
Thank you for visiting my blog and liking this post http://craftedliving.wordpress.com/2013/04/08/photography-monday-washington-d-c-at-night/
You’re welcome.
Pressed follow to see how you will be doing with this 365 project! Hope it goes smoothly.
Thank you. It’s a challenge but does encourage me to take more photographs.
Very worthwhile project, I am considering a similar approach to sunrises and sunsets across the Pennines here in West Yorkshire
Thanks. Good luck if you decide to go with it. I find the commitment helps with self discipline to get out and take photos; and I like taking photos.
Thanks for visiting my blog and liking my picture, you have some great posts on here 🙂
Thank you and you’re welcome.
Hi! Have you read Andrea Levy’s Small Island? Just curious 🙂
Hi. I haven’t read the Levy book, though I am familiar with it. The blog title was inspired by the Bill Bryson book ‘Notes From A Small Island’, which is a lighthearted travel book about Britain. A good and funny read if you haven’t read it. It’s a gentle, poking fun at the Brits book.
Hi! Ah, how could I forget about Bryson’s book :D. Yes, I have read it. He has nice humour, and it was good travel book. I would liked that he poked into less very specific details. It made book more difficult to read for me not being Brit. But in general I liked it:)
I think Bryson’s book was lovely, gentle, observational humour which played on the American/Brit relationship in which we have so much in common yet still manage to be very different and a mutual mystery on occasion. I agree that some of the idiosyncrasies of British life which were observed would make it difficult to follow unless one had spent a long time in the UK. It helps us Brits laugh at ourselves though, which is always a good thing.
Wow. Interesting post. I’m learning a lot from you from just this intorduction. Great! I’ll follow your example mate. Oh and by the way, thanks for liking my photo from Hong Kong.
Thank you very much and you’re very welcome.
Love the idea behind your blog, keep up the fine work 🙂
Thank you very much. Appreciate it.
Thanks for visiting and liking my blog and, by so doing, introducing me to yours. Love your photos and look forward to enjoying one daily (or thereabouts!) on my computer across the big pond!
Thank you. That is really kind of you. The greatest pleasure I get from blogging is seeing the everyday things from others around the world, having very different experiences in very different surroundings and to each one it’s just ‘routine’ and to the rest of us it’s really interesting, (well it is to me).
Be interesting to follow the photos on their journey. Heading over to the Uk myself in the summer so hope to get a few shots myself. Thanks for liking ‘West Cork Night Lights”
Thanks for stopping by and I hope the sun comes out while you’re here.
I love the idea of a photo of the day, but I have trouble sticking with anything regularly! Your photos are great though, and thanks for stopping by and liking our blog post btw!
You’re welcome. I just love taking photos. Thanks for the kind words too.
Very nice! I have never been to England and I look forward to the opportunity to see it through your eyes.
Thank you. I hope you make it over here to see it in person one day.
Thank you for liking my “UFO Clouds” post. I enjoyed visiting your blog and seeing your wonderful nature photos and cute animal pictures. Keep up the good work! 🙂
Thank you and you’re welcome.
I so enjoy your photos and will be following! My favorite beach in the UK is on the northeast coast, Cocklawburn. Wild, colorful, sand and pebbles…aaaah. I hope to return to Polperro at some point, as that beach had positively lovely pebbling.
Thank you so very much for liking my post today on Tide Line Still Life. I truly appreciate it!
Best,
Maggie
Thank you very much. I too love the north east coast for its wildness and empty space. The wind in the N.E. can cut through you like a knife through butter though, so Polperro probably has the edge (outside the summer months).
Thank you kindly for popping by my blog 🙂
You’re welcome.
I’m happy too 🙂
Great to hear. The world needs happy people.
it sure does. 🙂

Have a wonderful day!
You’re welcome. I like your work.
I love the idea of a photo a day – doing it myself since a month, but shooting film and leave the development for a while. I like your blog too!
And thanks for stopping by!
Thank you. Good luck with the photo a day challenge.
thanks for stopping by and liking my post. I hope you are able to keep up with your photo a day. It is an ambitious goal which I have yet to accomplish.

Thank you. And thanks for following.
thanks for the visit and loving your pics – reminds me of home.
Thank you. I’m pleased you enjoy them. Good luck with your 365 challenge. You’re in a great place for photography so I expect you’ll get some really interesting results.
I must confess, I began the new year with the same goal: to take a photo every day. I’m sorry to say that I failed miserably before January was over, but I usually manage to take some every week. At least I try. 🙂 good luck with your mission!
It’s not easy to keep up. I hope I make it but there’s a long way to go.
I’ve just discovered your lovely, colourful blog. I am based in England and blog about nature in the form of photos and poems. Take a look if you feel like it. Have a great afternoon, dashing between thunderstorms!
Thank you. What an appropriate name for visiting my post. I will certainly drop by and have a look at your blog too.
Hi – Thanks for dropping by my place – nice to know there there still is a middle down there. Up here, we worry about slipping over the edge one dark night if we don’t concentrate.
David
PS nice pics!
Thanks.
Love this idea! Your pics are charming and make me want to visit my family on your small island. I live in the U.S. and the majority of my family live in the Midlands. Thanks for stopping by my new, little blog and giving me a “like”!
Thank you very much and you’re welcome. This year would have been a great time to visit, we actually had a summer with sunshine, blue skies and everything!
Thanks for liking the post “Floral Bouquet” on my blog!
You also have maintained a very nice blog. Like it!
The thing which I liked the most is your objective “record each and every day with at least one photograph”. Way to go…Kudos!
Regards,
Premanand.
Thank you very much.
Stunning images! And thank you so much for visiting my photo blog and the likes!
Thank you very much. I liked your block a lot. Great shots.
Thank you for coming by to my blog…England is my favorite place and I love the nature there…Specially your blog has got such blessings that I couldn’t resist to say a humble thank you…Love your one…:D
Thank you very much. That’s kind of you.
Don’t give up, I’ve been doing a photo a day going on three years now.
Thanks. I hope to make it to 365 but three years sounds like hard work.
Thanks for stopping by Laura’s Lens and for the like. I always enjoy photos from England. I’ll sit back and enjoy! Thanks!
Thank you and you’re welcome.
I hope that you don’t mind, but I have nominated your site for some awards, see here:
Thank you. That’s very kind.
The real challenge is to do somewhat more than poking the camera out of the window and press the button 🙂
It has been done before (by many) and some succeed. Some don’t! 🙂
thank you for stopping by and liking my post!
You’re welcome.
Hey, nice idea and I have seen some nice pictures too! Curious to see the remaining 135 pictures 🙂
Good luck!
Stefano
Thank you. 135 sounds a lot. I’ll try not to think about it.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I love the concept behind yours – especially as I live on the same small island.
Thank you. You’re very welcome. We share a beautiful small island, which we both seem appreciate very much.
I love England, Great Britain or however you like to call it and your blog is just nourishing my “home-sickness” Beautiful idea and amazing photos – thank you very much from the bottom of my heart!!
That is really kind of you. Thank you very much. I am so pleased to have bought some pleasure by simply sharing my joy of the ordinary things around me.
Hello there, I have nominated you for a couple of blogger awards. Please check out http://observations-of-a-canary.com/2013/08/14/sharing-means-caring/ if you are interested in accepting them 🙂 Have a great day! The Canary
Thank you. That’s very kind.
THANKS for visiting my funny-caption photoblog and leaving a “like.”
–John R.
You’re welcome.
I’m so glad you enjoyed my poem found on Poetry for the Living. I agree, crating something daily is a challenge but what is more entertaining and also illuminating than making art and sharing it…? I will be back to see how you are faring!
So what do you call the heart of England? I was born in county Durham, raised in N. Yorkshire, married and moved to Dorset. After a brief spell in Germany I lived in Hampshire, then Kent. Since 1995 my home has been Colorado. It’s lovely here too. I think of all the places I lived in England, I miss Dorset the most.
I live in Warwickshire. I also like Dorset very much. Very beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by and liking my pictures …:) A great site you have – look forward to seeing more great pictures! Keep up the top work!
Thank you very much.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and liking my first post! You’ve got a great photography blog and I shall enjoy following your progress day by day! I though of joining a 365project but wasn’t sure about the commitment. I want to improve my photography not just take a photo because I have to to fulfil a challenge. It is something I shall consider for the future but I’ll see how I go for now.
It is a commitment but I wanted to do it for me rather than anything else. It will serve as a photo diary. As with any diary it’s full of everyday stuff with the occasional bit of excitement but that’s normal life, which is what I want to capture. I also wanted the discipline of taking more photographs and searching for the beauty in the ordinary.
thanks for stopping by and liking my recent post. Good luck on your photo a day project.
Thank you.
Good heavens, a fellow soul. So few of us left … and now to explore, starting with ducks …
Thanks for stopping by. I see you’re in one of the places I hope to visit one day. I fell in love with the South Island when I saw it on TV a few years ago. Can it really be that beautiful?
More so than that—I’ll post some snaps now that you’ve reminded me. We who live here tend to get a bit blasé, but in all honesty it’s no more so than Scotland or England (where there’s better beer~!).
Yes, we do beer quite well here.
thank you for stopping by my blog! your photographs are beautiful!
Thank you and you’re welcome.
Great to see some shots of the UK, home to my great grandparents. Beautiful site.
Thank you. Appreciate it.
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I hope you keep taking photos and blogging. I will be following your site.
Thank you.
Great idea – great photos. I look forward to seeing the rest of your year 🙂
Thank you. Hope you drop by again.
Thanks for liking my blog about living in Portugal. Your pictures are going to make me very homesick, but I’ll drop by when I want a ‘fix’ of the UK!
Portugal is not a bad alternative. One of my favourite places.
Love the idea. More people should recognize the internet’s capabilities in this way.
Thank you. That’s very kind. I find everyone else’s everyday experiences fascinating so I hope others may be interested in some of mine.
Hi
Thanks for liking my recent post. Your site is awesome – we live in a wonderful country. Best wishes.
Thank you. That’s very kind and your site is pretty awesome too.
Thank you for liking my very first post! I will enjoy getting to know yours. 🙂

Thanks and you’re welcome.
Thanks for visiting my blog and liking my photo.
You’re welcome.
Thanks for visiting my blog! I enjoyed scrolling around your site, I have never been to England so it’s really neat to see your pictures.
You’re welcome.
I will follow your effort to share a photo a day. It’s a good way to see a new part of the world.
Thank you for visiting my blog post today. Have an interesting day.
Good luck on your photographic adventure! And thank you too for visiting Move the Chair-I appreciate you taking the time to look-
You’re very welcome.
Nice photos – a great way to record the year.
Thanks for liking my post.
Dorinda
Thank you and you’re welcome.
I commend your dedication! I really can’t fathom how people find the time to post daily ….. they must have longer days than me! 😀
Thanks. I just take lots of photos as I go about my day. I always have a camera with me. Sometimes it’s a DSLR and all the kit on my back, sometimes it’s a compact in my pocket. I enjoy taking photos and would take them whether I posted or not and it’s a few seconds to post them on WP. Posting every day is my attempt to record my year with a photo diary. At the end of December I will probably post less often.
I really like that you state your objective at the beginning. Maybe I should have done that too (:p) but at the start, blogging was more about connecting with the inner world than the external one.
But what a rewarding if not rather challenging endeavour it turned out to be.
I have been enjoying all the positive comments on this thread and am glad to add my voice to the others.
(Miss that quirky island sometimes, really do!)
Thank you very much. I did start out with the intention of creating a photo diary for my own satisfaction and that still is the main purpose. If I can keep it up I will have a great record of a whole year to keep and share. However, I’m delighted so many people have also enjoyed stopping by. I really do enjoy seeing the beauty in everyday things and also having the chance to see what others around the world experience in their lives every day. I hope you’ll drop by again.
Hello there, this is to let you know that I just nominated you for the Liebster Award. There are some duties attached, but I still hope it’s more pleasure than bother to you. More details here:
http://maraeastern.wordpress.com/liebster-award/
Thank you, that’s very kind.
Very cool idea and photography! When we start living on our sailboat, we will have to come out to England for a spell.
Sounds like a good plan. Come in the summer though.
Haha, fair!
Beautiful blog! I’ll definitely be back! 🙂
Thank you very much. Look forward to seeing you.
Congrats for your beautiful site! And thanks a lot for stopping by my photo blog. Riccardo
Thank you. That is very kind of you.
Thanks for visiting my blog and liking “Portraits of a Leaf”. I look forward to seeing your photographs as well! Please come back and visit my blog again soon! Blessings, Robyn
Thank you for visiting my blog. I look forward to sharing your journey.
You’re welcome.
What a great idea for a blog!
Thank you. Hope you like it and come back.
All I can say is Wow. 🙂
Thank you. Wow is as good as it gets.
Your Welcome.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I did a daily photo project like yours many years ago. It’s such a great way to capture and preserve those small yet so important moments in time and place.
Very nice blog! Wonderful photos! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Thank you and you’re welcome.
I am rather excited about finding your blog and look forward to more pics. I live in the U.S but have often felt that the stork dropped me on the wrong continent. I love all things English and have always wanted to visit. I will someday…but I doubt I will come home! I can live vicariously now through your blog. Blessings!
How lovely. Thank you for dropping by and I hope you come back. I hope you can visit one day and discover if the UK lives up to expectations. In the meantime I shall keep posting and hope it helps to fill the gap.
Thank you! Wishing you a lovely day!
Thanks for liking my blog. Nice photos: at this time of year it is all about catching a moment.
You’re welcome, and yes, the moments are few and far between.
This is a very interesting project. Keep it up!
Thank you. I’m nearly there. Just December to go to complete the year.
That means I have a lot to catch up! 😉
Thank you for wanting to explore and I hope you find something that interests you and come back.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and liking some of my shots. Your stuff is pretty awesome. Though I’ve never been there, I’ve always been fascinated by the UK and feel like I was born in the wrong country with no way to get “home”. Seeing the scenery takes my breath away. Please stop by my blog again any time. Not all of it is photography but I do try to put some up at least once a month.
Thank you. I’ve had a few people say similar things about ‘The Old Country’. Maybe there is such a thing as an inherited memory after all. Anyway, glad you liked the site and hope you come back.
Thanks for visiting my blog, The Haute Mommy Handbook and liking my post “windsailing”. Your photos are great and I look forward to seeing more!

Great idea! Very interesting slice of life 🙂

What an awesome endeavor! I look forward to being on this visual journey with you!
Thank you. I am nearing the end though, as I started on January 1st. I’ll still keep posting though, I’m sure.
I certainly hope so!
I have nominated you for The Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award as you blog is full of great photography and diverse interests. The nominations will be out this evening Oz time.
Thank you. That’s very kind.
great blog – your pictures make me miss my home in England so much!
Well I hope it doesn’t spoil your travels and adventures too much by reminding you of home. I have travelled around quite a lot and came to the conclusion, there’s nowhere like home. Travelling is great and it’s wonderful to experience different cultures, languages and people. Just don’t forget those green rolling hills, Cadbury’s chocolate, wet Sunday afternoons and the BBC.
I know exactly what you mean, I love adventures, but you’re right, home is always the best! I am actually heading back for a visit next week, so very excited to get my fix of marmite and Stephen Fry!
Thanks for popping by my blog and leading me to yours. There’s something very homely and comforting about your blog. I love the simplicity of the layout and purity of the project, beautiful!
Thank you. That’s very kind.
I’ve nominated you for the Sunshine Award, for details go to:

Hello,
I hope this message finds you well.
I’ve just had the fortune of being awarded the Very Inspiring Blogger award and as part of the protocol I’ve awarded 15 other blogs as well, yours being one of them.
Obviously I don’t know what your stance on blog awards is, but it’s your choice as to whether you’d like to accept it or not and I only mean to say thank you for putting together such a great blog that interests. inspires, and entertains.
Full details can be found in my post here: http://polaris975.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/very-inspiring-blogger-award-thank-you/

Thank you very much and it’s very kind of you to take the time and trouble to get in touch and to say such nice things. I’m pleased you liked the blog. Much appreciated.
You’re most welcome and thank you for having such a wonderful blog page.
Thanks for visiting my blog and the “like.” I love England’s character… I hope to visit there someday. Also, I enjoyed the Robert Browning poem.
Keep warm and optimistic. You’ll wake up one morning very soon and Spring will be there waiting to embrace you.
You’re welcome. Spring is here and it’s great.
Delighted to have found your interest packed blog. Regards from Thom at the immortal jukebox (give it a spin).
