Seaside rock
More windswept shorelines and big vistas.
For those outside the UK, ‘seaside rock’ is a traditional sweet stick (usually called a ‘stick of rock’), and usually about a foot long. originally mint flavoured, it is now available in a huge range of colours and flavours. I haven’t eaten it for years, preferring to keep my teeth intact but it’s still hugely popular. A full description here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_(confectionery)
Nothing better than a great shot of the tide doing its thing… Have enjoyed the shore series from you very much!
Thank you. I do love the shoreline. Probably even more so when the weather is wild.
Yes, I use to drive to the Oregon Coast whenever a storm would come in and watch the Pacific at her wildest…beauty and power.
Beautiful! So serene and peaceful.
Thanks
Aaaahhh . . . Blackpool Rock! It has been 30 years since I was there and enjoyed the sticky mess in the car! thanks for the photo, AND the memory!
You were lucky to hang on to your teeth. I’m sure that stuff has paid for many a dental surgeon’s exotic holiday or new house.
True!
We’ll be leaving for the Baltic Sea next week and your recent seaside photos made me look forward to our vacation even more!
That sounds very exciting. Might be a bit chilly though.
Your photos are interesting, a little geography is always welcome especially when so well written. Looking forward to seeing your daily photos. God bless.
Thank you. That’s very kind.
Look at those clouds! A beautiful scene-
Thank you.
